Tahniah atas pelantikan sebagai Ketua Jabatan (Teknologi Kejuruteraan Elektrik dan Elektronik) di Fakulti Teknologi Kejuruteraan Elektrik dan Elektronik, Universiti Malaysia Pahang Al-Sultan Abdullah mulai 12 Januari 2026 sehingga 31 Disember 2027
Beijing, 9 January 2026 – A graduate of the Universiti Malaysia Pahang Al-Sultan Abdullah (UMPSA)–Beijing Jiaotong University (BJTU) Dual Degree Programme, Cohort 2, Aida Nadhirah binti Abdullah Harun, has brought pride to the faculty and the university by receiving the Outstanding International Graduate award in recognition of her academic excellence and outstanding engagement throughout her studies at BJTU.
In addition to Aida Nadhirah, two other graduates—Kang Hui Lynn and Tan Zi Feng—also received the same recognition during the BJTU Convocation Ceremony held in Beijing, China.
Adding to this achievement, Aida Nadhirah binti Abdullah Harun, an Electrical and Automation Engineering student, was also appointed as an Alumni Liaison Person, reflecting the university’s confidence in her leadership and potential to strengthen alumni networks and strategic collaboration between graduates, universities, and industry. Kang Hui Lynn and Adam Fahmi bin Ahmad Nizam were also appointed as Alumni Liaison Persons.
Sharing her experience studying in China, Aida admitted that she initially felt anxious about cultural and language differences. However, comprehensive support from the university and her peers greatly assisted her adjustment process.
“At first, I was worried, but with preparatory classes and support from friends, we gradually learned to adapt. Don’t be afraid to try something new, as this experience is extremely valuable and helps shape one’s character,” said Aida.
The UMPSA–BJTU Dual Degree Programme saw a total of 25 graduates from Civil Engineering, Electrical Engineering (Power Systems), and related Mechanical Engineering fields successfully complete their studies, supporting the development agenda of the rail industry.
During the convocation ceremony, degrees were conferred by the President of Beijing Jiaotong University, Yu Zujun, and witnessed by the Vice-Chancellor of UMPSA, Yatimah Alias, as well as the Deputy Director of the Strategic Student Development Cluster, Human Capital Development Division (BPMI), Public Service Department, Idayuwati Abdullah @ Ab Rahman.
The Alumni Sharing Session organised by the Faculty of Electrical and Electronics Engineering Technology (FTKEE), in collaboration with the UMPSA Cultural Centre through the Senandika Theatre Club, was successfully conducted from 8 to 10 January 2026 at Universiti Malaysia Pahang Al-Sultan Abdullah (UMPSA), Pekan.
The programme brought together 12 UMPSA alumni from diverse backgrounds who shared high-impact experiences and insights covering the fields of performing arts and technology, soft skills development, career and industry preparation strategies, time management, and balancing academic and co-curricular commitments. The programme was further strengthened by technical stagecraft skill sessions involving lighting, audio, and sound systems, which directly exposed students to real-world applications of technology.
This initiative not only enriched students’ learning experiences in a holistic manner but also supported the faculty’s aspiration to produce well-rounded graduates with strong technical competencies, leadership qualities, and employability skills, in line with current industry needs and the agenda of strengthening alumni–faculty networks.
The highest appreciation and sincere thanks are extended to Mr. Aizat bin Abdul Muttalib, Ms. Nurul Amirah, and Ts. Dr. Nurul Ain, alumni of the Faculty of Electrical and Electronics Engineering Technology (FTKEE) and the Senandika Theatre Club, for their willingness to share knowledge, expertise, and professional experiences with the participants. Appreciation is also conveyed to Ms. Noor Afiza, the club advisor, for her commitment, cooperation, and continuous support in ensuring the success of this programme.
It is hoped that programmes of this nature will continue to serve as strategic platforms to strengthen relationships among alumni, faculty, and students, while contributing to an education ecosystem grounded in real-world experience and lifelong learning.
The Flexible Learning and Micro-Credential Centre (FLEXMC) is pleased to extend its congratulations to the Faculties and Centres that have successfully implemented the Global Classroom for December 2025.
Our sincere appreciation goes to all members of the UMPSA e-Learning Committee for their assistance and continuous support in achieving this success.
