The Faculty of Electrical & Electronics Engineering Technology (FTKEE) at Universiti Malaysia Pahang Al-Sultan Abdullah (UMPSA) had the privilege of hosting representatives from Tekmark, who showcased the latest advancements in electronic measurement instruments and artificial intelligence (AI) training solutions. Esteemed guests Mr. Andy Loo, Vice President of Sales, and Mr. KF Chong, Project Manager, introduced faculty members and students to innovative technologies developed by Keysight, a global leader in electronic measurement. During their visit, they highlighted several essential products, such as oscilloscopes for waveform measurement, digital multimeters for precision parameter analysis, and signal generators and vector network analyzers (VNA) that support both signal creation and complex network analysis. Additionally, they demonstrated the FieldFox Analyzer, a highly versatile, portable solution for RF and microwave testing suitable for mobile and outdoor applications, making it ideal for a range of field environments.
Tekmark’s presentation went beyond measurement tools, featuring an Artificial Intelligence (AI) Trainer designed for hands-on learning. This AI Trainer allows integration with hardware components such as cameras and sensors, providing a robust platform for students and educators to explore real-world AI applications in fields like computer vision and sensor technology. This comprehensive system offers a practical approach to AI, enabling students to experiment with AI technologies and understand how they can be applied across various industries.
The event served as a valuable opportunity for FTKEE’s students and faculty to engage with the latest tools in measurement technology and AI. Such interactions not only align with UMPSA’s mission to provide future-ready education but also foster meaningful collaboration between academia and industry, equipping students with the skills needed to excel in today’s tech-driven landscape. The visit from Tekmark reflects the importance of such partnerships, where industry insights play a key role in developing the next generation of engineering talent and driving innovation at UMPSA.
Stay tuned for more industry engagements and hands-on learning opportunities at FTKEE, UMPSA! If you’re interested in the latest in measurement technology and AI, be sure to follow our updates.
