Congratulations to Dr. Syamimi Mardiah on her remarkable achievement of receiving an Early Career Researcher (FRGS-EC) Grant from The Ministry of Higher Education (MOHE) Malaysia. May this accomplishment continue to inspire the faculty community.
Bandung, Indonesia, 30th September 2024 – A delegation of 14 students from the BEL program at FTKEE, accompanied by Ts. Dr. Mohd Riduwan bin Ghazali, departed for Indonesia to participate in the Pure Expedition Program in Bandung, Indonesia.
The visit included a tour of the School of Electrical Engineering and Informatics at the Institut Teknologi Bandung (ITB). ITB was represented by Dr. Ir. Mervin Tangguar Hutabarat, M.Sc., and Dr. Rahadian Yusuf, ST., MT., who shared insights about their institution’s learning system. The delegation also had the opportunity to explore ITB's facilities, such as the electrical & electronics laboratory, library, Final Year Project preparation rooms, lecture halls, and mosque.
An academic visit to Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM) was also part of the program. UGM’s Engineering campus is a green campus that only permits electric vehicles, with no diesel or petrol vehicles allowed. The view around UGM’s main campus is vast and impressive.
The students also participated in disaster preparedness training related to natural disasters, led by Prof. Dr. Wiwit Suryanto, Vice Dean for Research and Collaboration at the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, UGM. The training included a session on instruments used for detecting earthquakes in Indonesia.
The program also included a visit to a local chocolate factory, where the students were exposed to various procedures and the use of machinery for producing high-quality chocolate.
A community service trip was made to Darul Anwar Madrasah in Jogja, where 14 copies of the Quran, donated by Nasyrul Quran (Wakaf Al-Quran), were given to the madrasah for the daily use of children and adults in their studies.

Universiti Malaysia Pahang Al-Sultan Abdullah (UMPSA) meraikan pensyarah cemerlang dalam Majlis Anugerah Cendekia Bitara (ACB) yang berlangsung pada 28 September 2024 di Hotel Grand Darul Makmur, Kuantan. Seramai 81 penyelidik UMPSA bertaraf dunia menerima anugerah merangkumi 141 Anugerah Cendekia Bitara (ACB) bagi 10 kategori manakala enam Anugerah e-Pembelajaran Universiti (APU) dan satu Anugerah Akademik Universiti (AAU) yang dikhususkan kepada warga akademianya yang terbukti berwibawa dan berketokohan dalam lapangan pengajaran dan pembelajaran. Dalam majlis ini ACB melibatkan penerima Anugerah Penerbitan Jurnal (59), Penerbitan Buku (41), Buku (1) geran antarabangsa (6), geran Industri (2), geran agensi (6), perundingan (1), produk penyelidikan (1) dan kualiti penyelidikan (1).
Manakala AAU melibatkan Anugerah Pengajaran (Kategori Kejuruteraan). Sementara itu, APU menyaksikan kategori Anugerah Micro-Credentials Terbaik (5) dan Anugerah e-Pembelajaran (1).
Tahniah kepada barisan pensyarah dari Fakulti Teknologi Kejuruteraan Elektrik & Elektronik UMPSA yang telah menerima anugerah di majlis berprestij universiti ini.

The Canva for Educators workshop was conducted for FTKEE teaching staff, led by Mrs. Nurul Wahidah Arshad, a Community Canvassador, along with Mrs. Nurulfadzilah Hasan and Dr. Norazila Jaalam.

The speakers encouraged participants to continue exploring various tools in Canva for teaching purposes. It is hoped that participants will benefit from the knowledge gained in this workshop, especially in managing teaching and learning activities.
The Faculty of Electrical and Electronics Engineering Technology (FTKEE) at UMPSA has taken a significant step toward advancing its laboratory facilities through a fruitful collaboration with industry leaders GW Instek and WNF Resources. This partnership aims to elevate the quality of research and learning in the fields of EMC Pretest Solutions, Power Conversion Technologies, and Automotive Test Solutions.
Mr. Lee Lam Wah, National Sales Manager at GW Instek, and Mr. Shahril Pawanchee from WNF Resources visited FTKEE to share their expertise and solutions for test and measurement applications. The focus of their contribution was to address key challenges in electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) pretesting, as well as advanced solutions in power conversion and automotive testing—areas critical to modern engineering.
The knowledge-sharing session was well-received by key faculty members, including Dr. Noor Zirwatul Ahlam, Head of the Bachelor of Electronics Engineering Technology (Computer System) with Honours (BTS) program. Also in attendance were Ts. Nazriyah Haji Che Zan, Head of Technical, and Ts. Mohd Hisyam Mohd Ariff, Head of Research for the Wireless Communication Network (WCN), alongside lecturers and technical staff. Their willingness to participate and engage in this collaborative event highlights the faculty's commitment to integrating cutting-edge technology into its programs and research.
