On June 7, 2024, a knowledge-sharing session (industrial talk) was held for students enrolled in the courses BTW 4533 AC Generator Operation System and BTE 2413 Electrical Power System. The event took place at Lecture Hall 2, FTKEE Pekan Campus.
The speaker, Mrs. Nooraishah Bakti, is an esteemed alumna of FKTEE from the 2003-2007 batch. She currently serves as the Engineering Team Leader at the Regional Solution Centre (RSC) East Asia & Japan (EAJ), Schneider Electric Industries.
During her talk, Mrs. Nooraishah shared her extensive knowledge, experience, and expertise in the field of electrical power generation and operation systems technology, with a special focus on the context of Malaysia. Her insights were invaluable to the students, providing them with practical perspectives and a deeper understanding of the industry.

Industrial visits and talks play a crucial role in offering various benefits, particularly in the context of education and professional development. Here are some reasons why organizing industrial visits and talks is essential:
- Practical Exposure: Provides students with firsthand experience of the industry, bridging the gap between theoretical knowledge and real-world application.
- Networking Opportunities: Allows students and professionals to network with industry experts, which can be valuable for future career opportunities.
- Insight into Industry Trends: Keeps students and educators updated with the latest trends, technologies, and practices in the industry.
- Career Guidance: Offers insights into various career paths and the skills required, helping students make informed career choices.
- Enhancing Employability: Equips students with knowledge and experiences that enhance their employability and readiness for the job market.
This semester's guest speaker is Ir. Ts. Wan Umikalthum binti Wan M Nowalid from IRSO-EC PD&T Office, Petronas East Coast Complex (PECC). Her insights and experiences will be invaluable to all attendees, providing a deeper understanding of the industry and its demands.
The event promises to be an enlightening experience, contributing significantly to the academic and professional growth of the students.

The third session of Droncubator took place on 1 and 2 June 2024, attended by 20 students in collaboration with Aksadron and Futurise. This session introduced students to drone assembly and configuration, led by Mr. Mohd Noor and Mr. Aiman from Aksadron. Additionally, students experienced racing drone flights demonstrated by Pro Drone Racing Pilot Tommy, who has represented Malaysia in drone racing competitions.
The Droncubator program at UMPSA was managed by Ts Dr. Mohammad Fadhil Bin Abas from FTKEE.

In partnership with the Institute Pendidikan Guru Sultan Mizan Dungun, FTKEE UMPSA recently held a stimulating training session at the UMPSA STEM Lab on "Exploring IoT with Raspberry Pi and MicroPython". Our objective was to provide the thirty-six enthusiastic participants—who included lecturers and teacher candidates—with the information and abilities necessary to successfully navigate the fascinating realm of the Internet of Things (IoT).
To begin our IoT journey, participants first learned about the capabilities of the Raspberry Pi Pico. With a focus on MicroPython, participants learnt to programme using the UMP STEM Lab Raspberry Pi Module. They also engaged in hands-on activities that allowed them to experience a variety of IoT applications, such as environmental data monitoring and LED blinking, firsthand. Towards the conclusion, participants created their own miniature Internet of Things projects, gathering sensor data and building a basic dashboard.
