Selamat Menyambut Awal Muharam 1446H.
Involvement from 9 FTKEE staff members, 3 teachers from SM Teknik Kuantan, and students from PKE (Form 4 and Form 5 - over 120 attendees). The event started with a briefing followed by an introduction session, program explanation, drone exhibition, and robotics demonstration. The event commenced at 2:00 PM and concluded around 4:30 PM. A big thank you to Cikgu Surimaruzi from SM Teknik Kuantan and the SM Teknik team for their solid support.
These modules are used to conduct activities with target groups who have the potential to choose to continue their studies at FTKEE. The identified target group comprises secondary school students who will decide the field of study they will pursue at a higher level. See you again in the second series.
The Dean, management, staff, and students at the Faculty of Electrical & Electronics Engineering Technology would like to congratulate the FTKEE staff on successfully receiving the Fundamental Research Grant Schemes (FRGS) 2024.

Researchers from the Faculty of Electrical and Electronics Engineering Technology (FTKEE), Universiti Malaysia Pahang Al-Sultan Abdullah (UMPSA), Associate Professor Dr. Mohd Mawardi Saari, 37, have developed a photocatalytic reactor using LEDs as a white light (photon) source. A wireless power transfer system powers these LEDs and moves freely within the reactor to activate the photoreforming process by the photocatalyst.
“In my research titled ‘Fluidized Wireless LED Reactor (Wastewater Treatment and Hydrogen Production), this product works by converting DC electrical energy to AC at high frequency using an inverter specifically developed for this project.
“This AC electrical energy is then transmitted to the transmitter coil outside the reactor to uniformly convert the electrical energy into magnetic energy within the reactor.
“Then, through the induction concept, this magnetic energy is received by the receiver coil and converted back to electrical energy to power the LED,” said Dr. Mawardi, who holds a Doctorate (Engineering) from Okayama University, Japan.
Associate Professor Dr. Mohd Mawardi stated that the LED will then convert electrical energy into light (photon) to activate the photocatalyst for the photoreforming process.
