Strengthening Industry Linkages: FTKEE UMPSA Explores Collaboration Opportunities with Denso Malaysia
BANDAR BARU BANGI | 11 September 2026 — The management team of the Faculty of Electrical and Electronics Engineering Technology (FTKEE), Universiti Malaysia Pahang Al-Sultan Abdullah (UMPSA) paid a visit to DENSO (Malaysia) Sdn. Bhd. as part of efforts to strengthen strategic relationships and explore potential collaborations between the university and industry.
The visit was led by Professor Ts. Dr. Hamzah bin Ahmad, Dean of FTKEE, together with the FTKEE management team. The visit served as a platform for exchanging views, sharing expertise and gaining industry perspectives on technological developments, workforce requirements and talent development in the fields of electrical and electronics engineering.
The DENSO delegation was led by Yosuke Matsunaga, Director, Board Corporate, together with Mohamad Roslan bin Mohamad Nasir, Director, Human Capital & Information System Division; Kiyonaga Fujii, Senior General Manager, Production Engineering & Production Advanced Devices Division; Inwan Benjamin bin Mohd Yusof, Senior General Manager, Production CE & IND – Electronics Division; Mohammad Sukri bin Sabri, Assistant General Manager, Human Resource Department; and Mohammad Aiman Syuki bin Amran, Executive, Headcount Planning & Recruitment, Human Capital Department.
The visit also provided an opportunity to discuss potential areas for further collaboration, particularly in talent development, education and industrial training, research and innovation, as well as strengthening graduate employability to better align with current industry needs.
University–industry linkages such as this are essential to ensure that engineering education remains responsive to technological changes and evolving industry demands. It is hoped that the strategic relationship between FTKEE and DENSO Malaysia will continue to grow through various collaborative initiatives that benefit both parties and contribute to the development of competent, competitive and future-ready engineering talent.
