From 6–11 September 2025, the Faculty of Electrical and Electronic Engineering Technology (FTKEE), Universiti Malaysia Pahang Al-Sultan Abdullah (UMPSA), through the Electrical and Electronic Engineering Students’ Society (EEES), successfully organised the Academic and Technology Mobility Programme Indonesia at Universitas Pembangunan Nasional “Veteran” Jawa Timur (UPN), Surabaya. The programme was joined by 19 students and one accompanying lecturer as part of UMPSA’s internationalisation initiative under the Global Mobility Agenda.
Throughout the six-day programme, participants engaged in a series of academic and technical activities, including sessions on IoT & Sensor Integration, Wireless Sensor Network Practicals, and a short industrial training that provided hands-on exposure to smart technology applications in real-world contexts. Additionally, students took part in a community service activity with local high school students, sharing technical knowledge and fostering collaborative learning.
The itinerary also featured educational and cultural visits to Mount Bromo, Rumah Batik Surabaya, and the historic Surabaya River, enriching participants’ understanding of the interplay between technology, society, and cultural heritage.
Overall, the programme successfully achieved its objectives of strengthening international academic networks, enhancing students’ technical and soft skills, and expanding UMPSA’s global reputation through impactful educational collaboration and knowledge exchange.
