Research Collaboration Strengthened Through Visit of Prof. Dr. Toshihiko Kiwa to FTKEE UMPSA

On 30 March 2026 (Monday), the Faculty of Electrical and Electronic Engineering Technology (FTKEE), Universiti Malaysia Pahang Al-Sultan Abdullah (UMPSA), had the honour of receiving a courtesy visit from Prof. Dr. Toshihiko Kiwa of Okayama University, Japan.

The visit aimed to strengthen academic ties and expand research collaboration between both institutions. It also provided opportunities for knowledge exchange, laboratory networking, and potential collaboration in research and postgraduate studies.

Throughout the visit, several activities were conducted, including discussions with faculty management and FTKEE research groups. The programme was further enriched with a Research Seminar titled “Research Activities at AEMT Laboratory, Okayama University: Terahertz and Superconducting Technologies for Medical Diagnosis.” The delegation was also taken on a tour of FTKEE research laboratories and participated in a networking session with researchers and postgraduate students.

The faculty would like to express its highest appreciation to Prof. Dr. Toshihiko Kiwa for his willingness to share his knowledge and experience. Appreciation is also extended to the faculty management, organising committee, research groups, and all FTKEE members who were directly or indirectly involved in making this programme a success.

It is hoped that this collaboration will continue to grow and bring positive impact to the development of research, innovation, and academic excellence at FTKEE UMPSA.
