Empowering Global Networks Through International Staff Mobility (ISM) 2026 at ITS Surabaya

Two representatives from UMPSA, Ts. Dr. Yasmin Abdul Wahab from FTKEE and Azimah Ahmad Zaki from the Centre for Modern Languages (PBM), participated in the International Staff Mobility (ISM) 2026 programme organised by Institut Teknologi Sepuluh Nopember (ITS), Surabaya, Indonesia, held from 4 to 8 May 2026.

The programme brought together delegates from various international universities and served as a strategic platform to strengthen global networking, staff mobility, academic collaboration, and research opportunities among institutions.

Throughout the programme, the UMPSA representatives had the opportunity to share their expertise through International Guest Lecture sessions, engage in discussions with faculties and research centres at ITS, and explore potential new collaborations involving student mobility, research activities, and internationalisation initiatives.

Among the key outcomes of the programme was an official invitation for 10 FTKEE students to participate in a mobility programme at ITS in August 2026, as well as plans for a reciprocal programme that will create more opportunities for international exposure for students from both institutions.

This participation reflects UMPSA’s commitment to expanding strategic global networks, strengthening academic diplomacy, and developing a university community that is competitive at the international level.
