Workshop on Standards Development for International Mobile Telecommunications (IMT) & Future Networks

Assoc. Prof Ir. Ts. Dr. Mohd Zamri bin Ibrahim, an esteemed expert in the field, was invited to attend the Workshop on Standards Development for International Mobile Telecommunications (IMT) & Future Networks organized by Malaysian Technical Standards Forum Bhd (MTSFB). The workshop was held from 4th to 6th March 2024, bringing together industry pioneers to shape the trajectory of telecommunications. Dr. Zamri played a pivotal role in shaping the Technical Code on Vehicle-to-Everything (V2X) System Architecture and Specifications.

 

V2X, or Vehicle-to-Everything, is a communication technology that enables vehicles to communicate with various entities in their vicinity, including other vehicles (V2V), infrastructure (V2I), pedestrians (V2P), and networks (V2N). This technology allows vehicles to exchange information such as location, speed, direction, and other relevant data, enhancing safety, efficiency, and convenience on the roads. V2X holds immense potential to revolutionize transportation systems by enabling advanced driver assistance systems, improving traffic flow, and facilitating the development of autonomous vehicles.
