FTKEE Joins UMPSA-Industry Roundtable - Discussion E&E Sectors (Northern Zone)

The Faculty of Electrical and Electronics Engineering Technology (FTKEE) at UMPSA participated in a roundtable session titled “UMPSA Roundtable - Industry Discussion for EE Sectors (Northern Zone).” This session involved prominent players in the electrical and electronics industry, including Keysight, Inari, Bosch, Intel, and Infineon, and served as a significant step toward bridging the gap between academia and industry.

The discussion focused on identifying current industry requirements and exploring strategic collaborations to align academic curricula with the latest technologies. These efforts aim to enhance the readiness of graduates for the workforce while fostering innovative research through partnerships with industry leaders.

In the short term, this initiative provides students with opportunities for industrial training, joint projects, and engagement with industry experts through workshops and seminars. The long-term impacts include producing highly competitive graduates capable of meeting global market demands, driving innovative research, and strengthening the local ecosystem for electrical and electronics engineering technology.

FTKEE is dedicated to producing industry-ready graduates equipped to catalyze change and lead advancements in their fields. The session was attended by Puan Azrina Hashim from the Malaysian Investment Development Authority (MIDA), YBhg. Professor Datin Ts. Dr. Mimi Sakinah binti Abdul Munaim, Assistant Vice-Chancellor for Industrial & Community Network, Professor Ts. Dr. Hamdan Bin Daniyal, Dean of FTKEE, and several senior lecturers from the faculty.

This collaboration underscores FTKEE’s commitment to fostering industry-academia ties and advancing Malaysia’s electrical and electronics technology sector.
