About Lab
Hart communicator is a device used to communicate with field devices using Highway Addressable Remote Transducer Protocol (HART Protocol). It can be used to check variables, do setting and used for calibration of field devices.
Transmitter is a device to convert process variables such as temperature and pressure to the standard signal of 4 mA to 20 mA. It is directly connected to primary sensing elements such as temperature sensor and pressure sensor. Transducer is a device to convert process a standard signal to another standard signal, such as from mA to PSI. Calibration is an adjustment done on the field devices to ensure the devices give correct measurement compared to a standard device or master device.
The Industrial Instrumentation course presents the process parameters that are applied in most processing industries of pressure, temperature, level and flow for both measurement and control applications. The principles applications of primary sensing elements, final control elements, transducers and transmitters which are used in process industries are discussed. Industrial application for instrumentation and process control is also covered.
