Graduate Employment Rate (Kadar Bekerja Graduan) – Updated Definition from 2024
Starting in 2024, the term Graduate Employment Rate (Kadar Bekerja Graduan) refers specifically to the proportion of graduates who are employed within the labour force, meaning only those who are either employed or unemployed. This definition excludes those who are:
- Continuing further studies
- Pursuing skills training
- Waiting for job placement (not yet in the labour force)
The data reflects the employment status of graduates at the time of completing the Graduate Tracer Study (Kajian Pengesanan Graduan), which typically occurs shortly after graduation. As such, it does not represent long-term employment outcomes.
