Electric Power Plant Visit Provides Real Insights

A series of technical visits by FTKEE students to the Large-Scale Solar PV Power Plant, 100MW LSS 3 Pekan owned by ERS Energy (M) Sdn. Bhd. took place on April 24 and 25, 2024, involving 73 students accompanied by 5 FTKEE staff members.

The purpose of this technical visit was to provide exposure to students of the PV System Design Course (MEE3313), PV System Installation and Maintenance (BVE1215), and Renewable Energy Technology Course (DRE2153) about electricity generation based on solar photovoltaic energy and the actual conditions of the electric power generation system, as well as the safety features and management of a solar PV Electric Power Plant.
